June 2008 brought us many fine visitors, including the groups below, who brought every 4-wheeler they could find to enjoy Chateau North and Black Mountain Recreation Area to its fullest!

MOTHER'S DAY 2008

Mother's Day 2008 at Chateau North was a grand event! Our full buffet and excellent selection tempted more than 400 guests!

A valiant effort from our dedicated staff made the event memorable for all. Even the rain couldn't put a damper on the day!

We created first-class meals for all who came, even the hummingbirds, who took advantage of our frequent flyer discount!

...And when it was over, Tony did the dishes...because Father's Day is coming soon!

BLACK MOUNTAIN NORDIC CLASSIC
We were the host for this year's annual Black Mountain Nordic Classic ski race (part of the Michigan Cup Series) held in March that started and ended at Chateau North! The course is a challenging rollercoaster ride of plentiful hills in the expansively groomed 30 kilometer loop around the perimeter of the Black Mountain Forest Recreation area for entrants aged 13 and up. There is also a smaller 10 km skate only loop which offers no awards for completon. The race is sponsored by the Presque Isle County Tourism Council.
